A 12V charger that switches to a float charge once the battery is full, so it can stay connected for weeks. That is what a maintainer is for: a motorcycle left standing through the monsoon loses charge steadily, and a flat lead-acid battery sulphates and does not fully recover. A maintainer also pays for itself against one replacement battery, which is roughly what a bike standing through a full monsoon costs its owner.
